Over the past decade, existing dry grind ethanol plants have sought to extract value out of the corn kernel through maximizing production and capture of ethanol, carbon dioxide, dried distillers grains, and oil. More advanced technologies and processes have continued to be developed and deployed to convert even more of the corn kernel into valuable, diversified product streams. They show significant promise. This April 26 webinar will highlight lessons learned by Quad County Corn Processors (QCCP), which has been producing D3 RIN-qualifying cellulosic ethanol from corn kernel fiber on a commercial scale since 2014 and has generated nearly 40 percent of D3 ethanol RINs produced to date. Using Cellerate® process technology, QCCP has been adding value to feed, improving corn oil production (yield), increasing throughput and making cellulosic ethanol, all out of one technology. The webinar also will discuss commercial opportunities for dry grind ethanol producers in corn kernel fiber-to-ethanol conversion.
